Tonight we're doing something different - instead of learning new words, we're practicing what you've already learned. This week you've discovered five powerful Hebrew words. Now it's time to make them stick in your heart and mind through fun, simple exercises you can do right at home. Get ready to turn your Hebrew knowledge into Hebrew confidence!
This Week's Hebrew Word Review
Let's quickly review the five Hebrew words you've learned this week:
Sunday: רוּחַ (Ruach) - Spirit/Wind/Breath
God's Spirit moving in creation and your life
Connected to Hebrew letter ר (Resh) - head/leadership
Monday: צְדָקָה (Tzedakah) - Righteous Giving
Justice, righteousness, and charity combined
Connected to Hebrew letter צ (Tzadi) - hidden holiness
Tuesday: יָדַע (Yada) - Intimate Knowing
Deep, personal knowing beyond just facts
Connected to Hebrew letter י (Yod) - God's presence
Wednesday: כָּפַר (Kaphar) - Divine Covering
Covering, atonement, and protection

Exercise 1: Hebrew Word Matching
Match the Hebrew word to its meaning:
A. Hebrew Words:
רוּחַ (Ruach)
צְדָקָה (Tzedakah)
יָדַע (Yada)
כָּפַר (Kaphar)
שִׂמְחָה (Simchah)
B. Meanings:
a. Divine covering and protection b. Spirit, wind, and breath c. Intimate, personal knowing d. Deep joy from God's presence e. Righteous giving and justice

Exercise 2: Pronunciation Practice
Say each Hebrew word out loud three times:
רוּחַ (Ruach)
Say: "ROO-akh"
Practice sentence: "God's רוּחַ fills me with life"
Repeat 3 times out loud
צְדָקָה (Tzedakah)
Say: "tze-da-KAH"
Practice sentence: "I will do צְדָקָה to help others"
Repeat 3 times out loud
יָדַע (Yada)
Say: "ya-DAH"
Practice sentence: "I want to יָדַע know God intimately"
Repeat 3 times out loud
כָּפַר (Kaphar)
Say: "ka-PHAR"
Practice sentence: "God's כָּפַר covers and protects me"

Don't worry about perfect pronunciation! God loves hearing you try to speak Hebrew.
Exercise 3: Hebrew Letter Recognition
Match each Hebrew letter to its meaning:
A. Hebrew Letters:

B. Meanings:

Exercise 4: Fill in the Hebrew Word
Complete each sentence with the right Hebrew word:

Exercise 5: Hebrew Prayer Practice
Try praying using this week's Hebrew words:
Morning Hebrew Prayer:
"God, thank You for Your רוּחַ (ruach) that gives me life. Fill me with Your שִׂמְחָה (simchah) today. Help me יָדַע (yada) know You more deeply. Cover me with Your כָּפַר (kaphar) protection. Show me ways to do צְדָקָה (tzedakah) for others."
Evening Hebrew Prayer:
"God, Your רוּחַ (ruach) guided me today. Thank You for the שִׂמְחָה (simchah) You gave me. I'm grateful for יָדַע (yada) knowing You personally. Your כָּפַר (kaphar) kept me safe. Help me remember to show צְדָקָה (tzedakah) tomorrow."
Practice saying these prayers out loud. Hebrew prayers connect your heart to God in special ways.
Exercise 6: Real Life Application
This week, use one Hebrew word each day in real situations:
Friday - רוּחַ (Ruach) Day:
When you feel wind, remember God's רוּחַ
Take deep breaths and thank God for the רוּחַ of life
Ask God's רוּחַ to guide your decisions
Saturday - שִׂמְחָה (Simchah) Day:
Look for things that bring you deep שִׂמְחָה (not just happiness)
Share your שִׂמְחָה with someone else
Thank God for His שִׂמְחָה in your life
Sunday - יָדַע (Yada) Day:
Spend time trying to יָדַע know God better
Have a real conversation with God (not just asking for things)
Read the Bible asking God to help you יָדַע know Him
Monday - כָּפַר (Kaphar) Day:
Thank God for His כָּפַר covering over your life
Ask God to כָּפַר cover areas where you feel vulnerable
Remember that Jesus is your ultimate כָּפַר
Tuesday - צְדָקָה (Tzedakah) Day:
Do one act of צְדָקָה - help someone in need
Think about justice and fairness in your daily choices
Give money, time, or kindness as צְדָקָה
Exercise 7: Hebrew Word Association
When you see or experience these things, remember the Hebrew word:
רוּחַ (Ruach) Reminders:
Wind blowing = God's רוּחַ moving
Taking a deep breath = Gift of רוּחַ life
Feeling inspired = God's רוּחַ working
שִׂמְחָה (Simchah) Reminders:
Laughing with friends = Shared שִׂמְחָה
Feeling grateful = שִׂמְחָה from God's goodness
Worshiping God = שִׂמְחָה in God's presence
יָדַע (Yada) Reminders:
Feeling close to someone = יָדַע knowing
Understanding something deeply = יָדַע knowledge
Personal time with God = יָדַע relationship
כָּפַר (Kaphar) Reminders:
Being under an umbrella = God's כָּפַר covering
Feeling safe and protected = God's כָּפַר care
Forgiveness from sin = Jesus' כָּפַר atonement
צְדָקָה (Tzedakah) Reminders:
Helping someone in need = Doing צְדָקָה
Seeing injustice = Need for צְדָקָה
Giving money or time = Practicing צְדָקָה
Exercise 8: Teaching Others
The best way to remember Hebrew words is to teach them to someone else:
Family Teaching:
Teach your spouse or children one Hebrew word this week
Explain what it means and why it's special
Practice saying it together
Use it in family prayers or conversations
Friend Sharing:
Share one Hebrew word with a friend
Tell them how it has helped your relationship with God
Practice pronunciation together
Encourage them to subscribe to Hebrew for Christians
Church Application:
Share Hebrew insights during Bible study
Use Hebrew words when you pray in groups
